On May 2nd, the entire nation voted for its new slate of members to join the parliament. The past 9 days of non-stop campaigning was tough as parties rallied hard to garner support. I could feel the intensity from being within the crowds and even at a distance from where the rally was happening. A time and chance for voices to speak up amidst silent times. I must say that the photos taken from these rallies does not express the true volume that happens on the ground but more as a visual of scale, from small details to massive crowds. Now that the election is over, Singapore moves onto a new chapter and it’ll be another 5 years before I ever get to capture an event as locally grand as this.
